WELCOME FROM MN PHEASANTS INC. !!

MN Pheasants, Inc. is a non-profit organization and all board members are volunteers. Each year we have several activities including , Cabela's Fall Expo, Junior Trap Shoot, Corn Giveaway, Donor's Dinner, Annual Meeting, Member's Banquet and Willow Creek Work Day. We are dedicated to the promotion, education and conservation of pheasant habitat, pheasant hunting and our community.

HABITAT ACTIVITY

Minnesota Pheasants Inc., in conjunction with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, has teamed up to permanently put aside hundreds of acres of land for wildlife habitat. The Sommerset management area and Pogones wildlife area are prime examples of work we do to permanently enhance wildlife for future generations. Partnering with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the DNR assures appropriate sites are acquired for purposes of nesting and feeding. These areas are also open to public hunting.

FREE WINTER CORN GIVE-AWAYS

Every year Minnesota Pheasants Inc. has given away corn and feeders to residents of Steele County. The various dates of these give aways aare advertised in the newspaper and on the radio. These feeders are placed throughout Steele County to help wildlife endure Minnesota's winters.

PHEASANT STAMP ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Minnesota Pheasants Inc. was an integral part of establishing the pheasant stamp required for hunters in Minnesota. The state pheasant stamp has been a substantial source of funds to the Department of Natural Resources for managing this valuable resource. A Minnesota Pheasant's Board Member regularly serves on the Pheasant Stamp Advisory Committee which oversees how the DNR allocates money from the stamp fund.
